Form F Training for Social Workers

Foster Carers take on a challenging role in society and the challenge of identifying new foster carer applicants is a constant issue.  New foster carer applicants come from all walks of life with many different and varying life experiences, that may help or hinder in their quest to become fully approved foster carers. Assessing the suitability of applicants using a competency based assessment tool in the format of the BAAF Form F tends to rely on exploring their own experiences of being parented alongside hypothetical scenarios they may encounter, should they be approved. The Form F assessment is the go to assessment tool/format that is used by most fostering agencies in England.

This two-day or one day course is designed to provide participants with greater confidence in completing Form F assessments and qualify as a Form F Assessor. The training equips all practitioners with detailed knowledge and understanding of how to meet all statutory requirements when compiling reports and preparing for Fostering Panel Presentations.
