Ian Johnson was great. Very personable, engaging and down to earth. My interest was maintained throughout the three days training. I especially liked hearing him speak from his personal experience of abuse and linking this to the theory we were also learning about. I now have a much better understanding of some of the issues and challenges and the training has also made me consider things that I had not previously thought about in terms of safeguarding and risk assessment.

The delivery of the course was excellent and ‘made real’ by the Ian’s real life personal experiences.The group work was well engaged and the Ian extracted good questioning from everyone. Even though I had done a previous skills to foster course not that long ago, I took so much more information from this course because of the way it was presented and the trainers style had me engaged from the start to the finish and I really enjoyed the course.
