Bullying Awareness Training

Standard 3 of the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services (2011) states: “Foster carers provide an environment and culture that promotes, models and supports positive behaviour” (3.2) Foster carers have positive strategies for effectively supporting children where they encounter discrimination or bullying wherever this occurs” (3.6).

Bullying is a safeguarding issue and foster carers need to be aware of the vulnerabilities of looked after children and risks associated to their children being bullied or bullying others.

This 1 day course meets the requirements of  Training, Support and Development standards for foster care: 3.5a, 6.1a, b, 6.2a, b, c, 6.3a, b, c, d, e, 6.4a
