Understanding Child Sexual Exploitation
Training courses for foster carers
Child sexual exploitation is a growing problem. Barnardo’s reported a 22% year-on-year rise in children being sexually exploited.
It is very important that we do what we can to raise awareness of CSE, because it is a serious problem across all cultures, and impacts significantly on looked after children. Vulnerability and low self esteem are common factors amongst children at risk of sexual exploitation.
Vulnerable adults are also at risk of sexual exploitation. The aim of this training is to define and identify child sexual exploitation (CSE) and to detail effective response.
