Young People, Alcohol, Drug & Solvent Misuse — Signs, Symptoms & Strategies
Training courses for foster carers
The use and misuse of alcohol and drugs is one of the more controversial issues in our society, and often a source of conflict between generations and between sections of society.
Alcohol and other drugs are powerful substances with a potential to harm users or to tempt them into over-indulgence, so it is important to have a good awareness of drugs and alcohol, especially when looking after and caring for children.
This course focuses on the different types of substances available, the risks, including the impact they may have on young people and children.
This 1 day course meets the requirements of the Training, Support and Development Standards for foster care: 3.3b, c, & 3.5a
