Many children living in the care system find education and schooling a difficult area to focus on and participate within effectively. Its is vitally important that the people caring for these children fully understand the complexities of the education system for LAC, in order to support them attain the best education available to them. This one day course focuses on different aspects of education specifically related to children living in the care system.

education is to their lives. Children who leave care with no
qualifications are less likely to be in education, employment or training, are
five times more likely than those with qualifications to be in custody at age
19 and are nearly twice as likely to have lost touch with the local authority
