Training courses for foster carers

Sometimes, professionals involved in the care of children are required to run or facilitate groups:  either for carers or for other professionals.

This course covers the setting of clear, agreed objectives and how to achieve them; factors which can help groups run well; and, effective leadership and facilitation.

Additionally, basic group work skills are covered, as well as how to capitalise on group members’ strengths, knowledge and resources.

This one-day course meets the requirements of the Training, Support & Development Standards for foster care :  1.a, 1.b, 1.2 , 1.3, 2.1, 2.3, 3.4, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1,5.2, 5.4, 5.5, 6.2, 7.3, 7.4
