Managing Allegations- Training for Managers

There have been many serious case reviews for professionals who abuse their position of trust, this course takes an overview of the messages from these reviews, and explores the term, ‘hiding in plain sight’ and what that means for managing concerns and allegations against staff in relation to local authority protocols and potential criminal action.

The aims of this training are to  support Managers to deal effectively with allegations against staff and promote safe working practices which will reduce the risk of allegations of inappropriate conduct and harm to children

Training Methods: the training methods used are varied to consider the learning styles of all participants, visual, experiential and auditory. Whilst power point is used as an overview of the main points, there are group exercises to apply the themes from the research and serious case reviews to practice. The participants are encouraged to devise a list of action points to take back to their agencies to synthesis their learning from the workshop.
