ONLINE FORM F TRAINING FOR SOCIAL WORKERS

Course Information

This one-day online course is designed to provide social workers with the skills and confidence to complete high quality Form F assessments and to qualify as a Form F Assessor. The course is aimed at social workers who may be new to fostering or for assessors who are looking to build on their skills. The training will equip social workers with detailed knowledge and an understanding of the statutory requirements that are required when preparing reports and presenting them to fostering panels.

The course is presented by an experienced social worker trainer and follows Coram BAAF guidelines.

Course Details

One Day Event Saturday 2nd March 2024 – £220.00

The session will start at 10.00am and end at 4.30pm

The course includes a FREE COPY of the hard-copy guide Undertaking a fostering assessment in England.

The course will be presented virtually. To access the course, attendees will receive a link via email. A suitable device and a reliable internet connection are all that is required.An information pack will be emailed to each delegate prior to the training course.Following completion of the course, each attendee will receive a completion certificate.

Aims / Learning Outcomes

• To equip you with the skills and knowledge base required to undertake robust, evidence based, analytical assessments using the BAAF Form F

• To familiarise you with the relevant policy, regulatory and legal frameworks that inform assessments of prospective foster carers

• To recognise that fostering assessments are risk assessments which identify and assess risk factors

• To identify assessment tools that aid information gathering, reflection and analysis

• Critically reflect on and manage own personal and professional values during the assessment process
